Hills of Hope
Parkland is a hamlet located within the Municipal District of Willow Creek No. 26 in southern Alberta. The area has a rich history that dates back to the early 20th century. Originally settled by pioneers and ranchers, Parkland became a small agricultural community. The population peaked in the mid-20th century, with a recorded population of 96 in 1961. Over the years, the population has fluctuated, with a recorded population of 50 in the 1991 Census.
In modern times, Parkland has seen a shift from its agricultural roots to a more diverse economy. The community has embraced tourism and outdoor recreation, taking advantage of its scenic landscapes and proximity to natural attractions.
