Eulogy by his son, Jim Benedict at the funeral, July 9th, 1983. During the past three-quarters of a century our father has touched many people's lives, including all of you here. On behalf of my family, I thank you for coming today to share this moment with us. We should reflect back on my father's life, to better understand the man we all loved. Dad's father arrived in Calgary in 1893, and was well known as a barber in the small town. Dad himself was born here in 1910. He lived all his life as a native Calgarian, and has left behind him three generations of families. He was very proud of his roots and loving of his children and his children's children.
