Bradshaw Cemetery is not far from the hamlet of Leedale. Leedale is west of Secondary Highway 766, approximately 17 kilometres southwest of Rimbey. Originally known as Wittenberg, the post office was renamed in 1917 for William Henry Lee, who served as postmaster from 1914 – 1916 and 1921 – 1925.

Bradshaw Cemetery is important as a physical reminder of settlement‑era communities in central Alberta. In the sweep of prairie history—where farms expand, school‑houses close, and rural church congregations consolidate—these small cemeteries anchor local memory and heritage. They tell of families who endured harsh winters, built livelihoods from the land, and sought to honour their dead in a place of permanence.
