Born in Clinton, Ontario as Sarah Isabella Acheson, known as Sadie, she moved with family to Winnipeg, then south to farmland in Rosenfeld, Manitoba. There she married Joseph “Rusey” Weber, a charming young man originally from Alsace, France. They had three children in Rosenfeld, three in Winnipeg, then moved west and had two more in Calgary. Sadie suffered from poor health later in life and passed away in 1953 at age 73 years.
