A large cairn indicates in 1914 William Jasper Hackworth donated the land for the graveyard about 10 miles north of Etzikom, Alberta where his wife, Adaline Rebecca (Arthur) Hackworth, is buried. She died in 1914. Apparently he moved back to Virginia after his wife passed away, and remained there until his death.
The County of Forty Mile provides maintenance in most cemeteries within the County with the exception of the Village of Foremost, Town of Bow Island, Burdett Cemetery and all Hutterite Cemeteries. Maintenance is performed on 28 Cemeteries across the County and consists of mowing grass twice a season, trimming or planting of trees and maintaining appearance of fences and signs. 14 of the 16 graves are marked.
Driving Directions: Drive North of Etzikom on Secondary Highway 885. The cemetery is located on the east side between Township Road 74 and Township Road 82 (It is closer to Township Road #82 than Township Road #74).
